Some of the Details of the Derrick is as under:
1. Derrick should be made from square bar or Pipe 
2. The Base stand for the Derrick
3. Hook and Sheave and 100 mtr length of rope
4. frame pole height : 2.5 Mtrs and size of base stand as per the winch capacity
5. Base shall be tested against overlifting weight according to structural design
6. Derrick ( Frame Pole) shall be designed considering all loads (Dynamic and static load) you can sue high tensile steel for strong derrick strength
7. The sheaves to be fitted on derrick free running to give adequate support to the rope and avoid exessive bending areas and redial pressure and inertias. with groove radius 0.525D to 0.550D with0.537 5d as the optimum where d is nominal rope dia. 
This is one POLE,, around 2.5 mtrs height.. one BASE At the bottom..which should be strong enough to work with capacit of winch.. on the top of the pole one horizontal pope or square bar and on to the close the end of this bar sheave is fixed. just 1/2 mtr from the base stand the platform to fixed winch is made. From winch the wire rope pass the sheave and on the end of the rope HOOK is fixed . .
