offer 19: We are an importer and supplier of natural stones including limestone. We''ll be glad to help you in your project.

offer 18: I'm owner of  french beige and blue limestone quarries, and i make floors 16x16 and 16x8 honed.

offer 17: The lime stone can have the following surfaces:
1- Polish
2- Hone
3- Bush hammer
Please advise on more details for quotation. Portugal

offer 16: different surface finishes generally worked on are as follow and some detail about different materials as well.

Sandstone/ Limestone - we can provide these materials in the following colours - Apple White, Peach White, Dawn Pink, Honey Dawn, Red Fantacy, Autum Way, Country Way, Star Dust Koth Blue, Star Dust Koth Grey, Star Dust Koth Brown, Teak, Rainbow, Tuscan Beige etc.

These materials can be provided in the shape of Tiles, Slabs, Blocks as per requirement and specification of sizes and thickness considering the application area and its suitability.

Surface Finishes:
1. NATURAL SPLIT FACE - surface has natural endulations (riven finish) and their level of endulation will depend upon a particular material and their natural deposits and formation since it is a sedimentary rock.

2. HONED SURFACE - just a flat rubbed surface and this can be further classified as Rough Honed or Fine Honed. Rough Honed may have some scrach marks etc. and no shine where as Fine Hone will be without scratches and with little shine. The same can be further improved as Polished Surface.

3. HONED and SAND BLASTED - honed surface will be further sand blasted to achive matt finish look and the degree of sand blasted surface can be further controlled from - Fine, Medium or Coarse by selecting the medium of sand blasting material, its grade and pressure.

4. SAWN - when perpared from blocks by cutting with circular-saw or gang-saw the diamond segment finish which is just flat, plain finish with some saw marks and same can be removed if required by doing the process of honning, i.e. Sawn and Honed.

5. CHISELLED DRESSED SURFACE - these are the surfaces perpared by doing chisell, hammer dressed and the effect & degree of this can create various finishes like - Fine Chisseled Hammered Dressed, Rough Chisseled Hammered Dressed or the designer surfaces as per design, patterns created on the surfaces. Some other effects that can be created are defined as - Double Punched, Single Punched, Picked, Tooled & Boasted, Vermiculated & rock faced, etc.

Further it is suggested that once you narrow down on your choice of material, sizes, thickness, prelimery selection and requirement of surface finish as per area of application and required designer effect you can always interact with your proposal for confirmation on any techanical limitation andits feasibility. offer 15: Referring to yr enquiry re limestone,we hv no idea what size project you hv or the quantity req. But we could roughly propose to you off white good quality limestone straight fm the quarry (cut or block form)depending on yr requirements any quantity possible in a short time at reasonable prices. However, for the outside you could use rough cut or chipped stone, and for inside cut stones not too polished (excellent polished also possible), but everything depends on yr taste and other factors in yr project. If interested, pls advise more details and price/types interested in.

offer 14: Limestone is a type of rock made up mostly of calcite, a mineral form of calcium carbonate. Most limestone is grey, but all colours of limestone from white to black have been found. All limestone are formed when the calcium carbonate crystallises out of solution. It leaves the solution in many ways, and each way produces a different kind of limestone.
Limestone can be formed almost completely without the aid of organisms. This type of limestone is forced out of solution when the water evaporates. Evaporation of water in limestone caverns forms another variety of limestone, called travertine, into stalactites and stalagmites.
Some limestone can be formed by the work of organisms. Many aquatic organisms draw calcium carbonate out of the water and use it to make their shells and bones. The oysters, clams, snails, corals, and sea urchins do this. When the animals die, the shells and bones are broken up by waves into shell and coral sand and mud.
Limestone makes an excellent building stone because it can be carved easily. Some factories use limestone to clean waste gases and water before releasing them into the environment. Limestone is also used to make lime and to smelt iron ore.

Limestone 1: Limestone is typically formed over many years at the bottom of oceans or lakes from the accumulation of shells, bones and other calcium rich goods. If this limestone is subjected to intense heat or pressure and a few millennium, a
crystallization will occur and the limestone will become a "true marble". Chemically they are both still Calcium Carbonate (TUMS), but the marble will have a crystalline structure and the limestone will have relatively flat appearance.
Limestones that will take a polish are considered marbles by most people, but technically, if there are still shells visible or the structure is not crystalline, it is still a limestone.
Limestones that have magnesium in them are called"dolomitic limestones" and are typically much harder and more resistant to weathering. A typical characteristic of dolomitic limestones are their capability of taking a flame finish.
Limestones are typically used for flooring, wall cladding, vanity tops, furniture, and often times ornate stonework.
